Booth Selection Guidelines and information for the 2018 Sweets & Snacks Expo
Note: only current exhibitors in the Sweets & Snacks Expo may choose space onsite for 2018. General booth space sales will open mid-summer 2017.
Space selection for the 2018 Sweets & Snacks Expo will take place at this year’s show for current exhibitors. Below you will find all the details needed to plan for your future participation. Booth space selection is done in priority point order – your specific appointment time, based on your points, will be emailed to you before the end of April.
Please note: your current booth will not automatically be reserved for you – you must choose your space during your appointment time or post-show.
General Details for the 2018 EXPO:
- Sales Office Location: on the show floor in front of the 500 aisle
- Show Dates: May 22, 23, 24, a Tuesday – Thursday schedule
- Location: McCormick Place West Building, Chicago, Illinois, USA
A 50% deposit is due at time of reservation – credit card or checks accepted
Space rates for 2018 are below – all rates are per square foot:
Assignments are made based on group priority point order and exhibitors are allotted a specific time slot to choose their location within that group. These time slots are determined by priority points which are earned for show participation (1), NCA membership (five points each previous years of paid membership) and sponsorship involvement – sliding scale based on area sponsored. Sponsorships purchased after March 29 will apply to following year’s show, not the current. Snack companies not eligible for NCA membership receive 2 points and sponsorship points if participating in the sponsorship program.
The floor plan design is guided by a set of principles to ensure that space is designed in a manner fair and equitable to all, and to ensure the feasibility of the lay out. By reserving space you also agree to the Terms of Application and the Display Regulations that govern the show.
How the Process Works:
At the Booth Space Selection Office, located at the front of the 500 aisle on the show floor, you will be checked in (within your time slot), and when your priority point number group is reached you may choose a booth from those available. When you make your choice, your contract will be completed, the booth assigned and the deposit recorded. In order to assign all exhibitors, you will have a few minutes to choose your location, so please determine your space needs in advance.
You will not need to complete paperwork; a space contract will be automatically generated when you choose space online, and you will receive a paper copy and an email confirmation. The floor plan will be similar to the 2017 lay out and a draft of the floor plan will be posted here in a few weeks. Please note that the floor plan is always changing as exhibitors choose their space so it will look different when you arrive for your appointment.
Space Selection Appointments:
If you cannot make your appointment time, please stop by the Booth Space Selection Office any time after your appointment to choose a booth (following those waiting to complete their selections). A 50% payment must be made at the time of assignment; credit cards will be processed on-site. Your current space will not be automatically reserved for you.

- You will not automatically be assigned a booth if you miss your appointment time
- Booths cannot be placed on hold
- If you choose not to reserve space, you may pick from available locations post-show (late July, 2017) on a first-come, first-served basis. Your current space will not be automatically reserved for you.
