This year’s roundtable discussion topics include:

Work/Life Balance

  • The Benefits of Finding Life in the Work/Life Balance
Finding balance in the demands of our personal and professional lives can be challenging. But it is the balance that helps us feel happy and fulfilled. Share your experience and learn how your peers keep these two equally important parts of their lives in harmony.
  • Understanding and Coping with Working Parent Guilt
Many people who are both working and raising children experience feelings of guilt or anxiety about fulfilling their responsibilities as a parent or employee. Known as working parent guilt, it’s a common challenge to address in the workplace.  Chat with colleagues who have successfully navigated this life stage and learn strategies to assist with balancing career-related demands and family responsibilities.

  • Setting up a Successful Mentorship
We all know the importance of a strong mentor, but it’s hard to know how to find and cultivate the mentor/mentee relationship. Gather with others to discuss what a productive mentor relationship looks like and how to set your next mentor/mentee relationship up for success.
  • Unexpected Mentors
Mentorship may come from surprising sources and when you least expect it. Take time to reflect on your own personal and professional growth and consider who stands out as an unexpected mentor that impacted your unique journey.

Leadership & Skills Building

  • The Art and Science of Negotiation
Negotiation is a critical skill. It helps you build trust in your relationships, navigate conflict and advocate for yourself.  Learn and share ideas with your peers about their approach and personal experiences.
  • Your Leadership Style
Gaining insights and perspective on effective leadership can empower you to become the kind of leader you aspire to be. Engage in meaningful discussions about different leadership styles and reflect on your own goals as a leader.
  • Managing Imposter Syndrome
Imposter syndrome is experienced by almost everyone at some point in our lives. Learn how others have coped and overcome their challenges with imposter syndrome.
